Vocalist, actor, producer Larry Johnson has been a professional entertainer for over 22 years. Realizing his voice was a gift from God, Larry started singing in the church choir at a very young age. Sharing his gift with the congregation on Sunday’s was just one way of realizing that he had a passion to share his gift with the world. Starting with starring roles in Community Theater, Larry worked his way up to his first solo recording contract in 1987 and enjoyed regional success with his popular single “Endless Possibilities”. He then went on to become a founding member and one of the lead singers/spokesperson of the national vocal/dance group “Horizon”, where their recording of "Swing Engine" was at the top of the charts for 11 months in the Caribbean Islands. Horizon's Swing Engine music video was featured on MTV and played continuously on B.E.T., while the group continued to perform at venues nationwide for corporate giants such as Chevrolet, Chrysler, AT&T, NASCAR, The PGA Tour and many, many more. Larry eventually left the group to continue his career as an actor, producer and vocalist, and went on to appear in commercials, public service announcements and in national release movies such as “Collision Course” with Pat Morita and Jay leno, “Zebra Head” with Michael Rappaport, and “Beverly Hills Cop” with Eddie Murphy. After thousands performances nationwide, Larry was asked to join with legendary former Temptation’s lead singer Ali Woodson and his “Emperors of Soul”, where he learned the valuable choreography and the original stage show of Motown’s own Temptations. After a year of worldwide tours, Larry was asked to join 3x Grammy Award winner / 2x American Music Award winner Richard Street’s Temptations, in which he is currently handling 1st tenor leads, touring and performing in sold out venues all over the world. Larry as an accomplished host/emcee/producer, has turned an ordinary Wednesday night at Detroit's Greektown casino into the most popular regional talent showcase in the metro area. "Showtime At The Apollo Lounge", a show created in the mold of the highly popular talent show based in Harlem, New York, quickly grew into one of the most popular nights in downtown Detroit for 7 straight years! Larry has a strong passion for today’s youth, and as one of the producers/performance directors of the positive message youth movement “Mello D’s Youth Under Construction”, he is driven and motivated to help change the direction of today’s youth through positive music and mentoring, eventually making an impact on today’s society and the future of the youth of America.This Site Is Being Managed By Stacey aka StaTone!

During my Horizon days we did a lot of charity work...March Of Dimes, Jerry Lewis Telethon and many more. This video we did for the Children's Miracle Network was one of the most rewarding I've ever done. Our version of "We Are The World", we(Horizon) come in at :55, and the adlibs at the end at 3:20 thru 3:33 and again at 3:40 are me..
