The roots of the hip-hop sextet Disturbing Tha Peace (Lil Fate, Ludacris, I-20, Shawnna, Titty Boy and DJ JC) trace back to Benjamin E. Banneker H.S. in the College Park section of Atlanta, GA. Lil Fate (a transplant from Tampa, FL) and Ludacris were classmates. A shared respect for hip-hop and lyricism got them into mutual mischief. "I was like the freestyle fanatic on the South Side of College Park," Fate recalls. "That's how Chris learned about me. I did the talent shows and we would skip class. I would miss history to make history."
Hailing from Atlanta with a flow all his own, Fate has honed his skills as part of Ludacris’ DTP crew since the beginning. He is currently working on his solo album scheduled to be released through Disturbing Tha Peace/ Def Jam Records.
Lil' Fate is expected to release his debut solo album in late 2007 or early 2008. He has been featured in both of the Disturbing tha Peace compilations, as well as on many songs by others DTP members, and has estabilished himself a good reputation in the South, collaboratin' with veterans like Three 6 Mafia, Scarface, Too $hort, Gangsta Boo and Jazze Pha. He is also featured on the upcoming DTP compilation Strength in Numbers, schedulded to be released in the fall.
