About Me

As a baby in Fairbanks, Alaska I became deathly ill, my temperature reaching well into the hundreds. It was years later that they realized that the fever took most of my hearing. A number of other new-borns fell ill as well, and the sickness took their lives. There have been a few near misses and accidents since then, but I have been able to come out on the other side; maybe with a scar, maybe not, but alive. So, in a word, I am a "survivor". The folks from my old soccer club would go so far as to call me a "fighter", really just a euphemism for tenacity. I love Portland, and feel blessed to live in it. I love traveling, and have been blessed to visit many beautiful places. If you want know more about some of the accidents or some of the beautiful places, just ax about me.
