About Me

"Sherwin Maxino"... I hope that becomes a household name one day. Like the way The Beatles are spoken of in music. Or the the way Plato is spoken of in philosophy. Don't get me wrong, i'm not comparing myself to these jaw dropping wonders that continue to amaze till this day. I'm just hoping that it turns out like that sometime soon, and thats exactly what this is all about, a dream. The flowers: I play guitar and sing for my band litebox . I currently attend Hunter College. My favorite colors are black and yellow because they look like a bumble bee when put together. I like to eat cereal, I think it's the greatest food ever created. My favorite number is seven or any number entirely made of sevens like 777. I have a birthmark on my right hand which makes it look like an octopus. I'm nearly half Chinese and as equally half Filipino, the rest is Spanish (from Spain- or so the legend goes hehe). The thorns: I have an itch to make it big and I can't sit still for that to come by and get me. Why is this like thorns you ask? Well, for one, it pains me everyday to look at all these famous people getting a piece of the pie. I want one too! Fame. Money. Drugs (just kidding of course; i'm straight edge). It's all part of the equation. But what I really want to do is use music as a platform to save the world (i'm not kidding about this one). I don't write inspirational music (sorry, my speeches aren't that great either). But I believe that if I make enough noise, I will be heard. Music is my loudspeaker for the things I believe in and want to share with you. Whether it be saving lives through To Write Love on Her Arms by simply buying a tee shirt. Shutting down my computer almost every night to stop global warming. Or buying another damn tee shirt to save more lives through Product Red. You can count on me to be doing that and other things that I have not put down in that list. And I want you to do that as well, and maybe even more. Sorry for preaching philanthropy, but this is what this project is about, and this is exactly what my LIFE is about. If i'm trying to help you, you better be helping out the next person, thanks for reading!

HOW YOU CAN HELP* -A choreographer is needed to create a dance routine for a music video (that's currently a work in progress). If you've got one, show me and we can discuss from there. I don't care if you film it with a cell phone camera, just make sure I like it!!!

-A dedicated fan is needed to create a Sherwin Maxino fan site or something of the sort. I'm not really looking for much. If you make it here on Myspace, and if it's decent enough, I will officially recognize it and put it on my top friends.
