Texas Musicians Support the Troops - Get on the Bandwagon!

About Me

Stay tuned for our next Music March event!

The Music March for Heroes Campaign exists to transform lives within our community. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds to support established nonprofits that provide much-needed services such as counseling to individuals serving in the military and their families. We want to see that the people affected by the war have a safe outlet to heal, physically and mentally.
This year we are working with the Samaritan Counseling Center to support their Hope for Heroes Project, launched in 2007. The project provides much-needed counseling services at NO CHARGE to individuals serving in the military; this includes couples, families, and groups that have unmet mental health needs as a result of service in Iraq and Afghanistan. The home services provided by the center are especially important for those who have mobility problems due to combat injuries.
The number of U.S. military personnel diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder jumped 47% in 2007. Emotional distress is a most serious form of war casualty and includes PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction and even suicide - therefore, we feel an even greater need to help.
The Hope for Heroes Project is the first of its kind in our community and supports thousands of soldiers and their families from Georgetown to San Marcos.
