Ilya Ziblat

Composer and Bass player. Ilya Ziblat- Shay was born in 1975, Haifa, Israel. Holds a Bachelor degree in composition from the Rubin academy, Tel Aviv University, and currently pursuing a Master degree at the Koninklijk conservatory, the Hague. "I started playing piano as a kid. Later on, my interest in music was regenerated as a bass player, as this was the last instrument available in my friend's newly founded rock band. Subsequently I was drawn towards Jazz and composition. I try to compose both acoustic and electronic music, while staying not too far from some spirit of improvisation as well. I like to play other people's music a lot, always, even if I dislike its content."
