His company, Joe Joe Promotions, has quickly become one of the hottest promotional machines on the scene. However, he does more than just host parties, Joe Joe rocks the turntables, churning out head-spinning House beats bound to get any dance floor hot. Given his charisma and charm, he landed a multi-episode stint on MTV's The Real World XX: Hollywood, and the world outside of L.A. got their first taste of him. There's a lot more to chomp on though.
Joe Joe (also known as "Ho Ho" / "Jo Jo") tore up the small screen on The Real World. He charmed one of the cast members, the lovely Brianna, and much to the chagrin of the housemates, became a household name in the process. He's maintained a friendship with Brianna that transcended the confines of the show, but T.V. is still in his future. Joe Joe is currently working on a documentary for MTV centered on his unique dating habits. The lifestyle show is set to debut in October, and principal filming commences mid-July. In addition, Joe Joe's been tapped for a Las Vegas reality show, set to begin filming in late August. Keep your eyes peeled, pants down and mouths open, because 2008 is the year of Joe Joe.
Joe Joe Promotions was born in the spring of 1999, and it rapidly rose into one of Los Angeles’ premier nightlife promotional companies. Since its inception, Joe Joe Promotions has hosted some of Los Angeles’ and Las Vegas’ most well-known weekly and special events, in the some of the largest and most exclusive venues. By continuing to adapt, Joe Joe promotions has evolved from a one-person nightclub promotional company into a multi-faced multimedia, marketing and restaurant group employing two dozen full and part-time employees.
His weekly events have been featured in numerous publications, including The LA Times, LA Weekly, US Weekly, 944 Magazine, LA Weekly, OC Weekly and Entertainment Weekly. His parties are "the place to be," and he's "the guy to know" in Hollywood. There's no drama, just quality fun. Joe Joe was cited on LA.com’s "Royalty List," alongside some of the most influential faces and personalities in Los Angeles. He was also named “Hollywood King,” by LA Weekly, US Weekly and Entertainment Weekly. With weekly events ranging from 300 to 5000 people per night, Joe Joe Promotions has consistently succeeded by hosting reputable public and private events that no one in attendance soon forgets.
Public events have included top notch fashion shows for trend-setting clients such as Calvin Klein, Lisa Kline, Fred Segal, Marciano and others. His private events extend from Playboy Mansion charity functions to entertainment industry events like Halloween parties hosted by Marilyn Manson and Dave Navarro, The O.C. wrap party, and Lindsay Lohan's birthday. Joe Joe's A-list digital rolodex of clients includes Britney Spears, Wilmer Valderama, Tommy Lee, Prince and many more. Joe Joe was an entrepreneurial idealist from the time he was 12-years-old, operating and permitting parking lots for street fairs and festivals. For college, he went off to UCLA, gaining on an athletic scholarship for Track & Field with a walk-on position on the basketball team. He graduated from UCLA with a degree in Sociological Sciences and a minor in Marketing & Business. Joe Joe made a splash in the Hollywood scene in the spring of 1999. In a short period of time, he's made quite a name for himself. After accidentally falling into marketing and promotions, Joe Joe quickly took advantage of his athletic and celebrity contacts to propel himself forward as one of L.A.'s leaders for nightlife entertainment.
He followed his instincts, and he adopted unusual promotional methods, including mass email campaigns and viral marketing. Proverbially thinking outside the box, Joe Joe rapidly gained exposure, popularity and respect amongst his peers, employers and clientele. Within one year’s time, Joe Joe Promotions became a recognizable force in the promotional world, running some of the hottest weekly parties in Hollywood. With the aid of weekly hotspots, Joe Joe was able to make incredible contacts with those who mattered, and he's made use of those connections to thrust Joe Joe Promotions to the forefront of nightlife promotions. The company now handles special events, planning, coordination, product placement, mass marketing and advertisement. He even now owns many of his own nightlife and entertainment venues.
