About Me

Rob Wilson was born early in the morning on July 4, 1970 in Bryan, TX. Rob moved to Levit-built Bowie, MD with his family in the early 70's. The first rock record that Rob ever purchased with his own money was Led Zeppelin IV. He frequently picked out popular melodies on an old dilapidated family piano. He was possessed to take guitar lessons and become a songwriter at the age of 14. According to Rob, "I was never good at learning anything note for note. I would learn the melody and find my own way of playing the song".Rob Wilson has been a formidable figure on the Baltimore music scene since the early 90's, first as guitarist for the psychedelic noise band Tribal Voice and then as front man for Ambiguous City upstarts Antenna Farm. He later became publisher of the Gadfly Monthly Music Calendar, as well as promoter of Ottobar's Baltimore Antifolk Night for a number of years. More recently, Rob has co-written several songs on Abouretum's Long Live the Well-Doer and Rites of Uncovering albums with Dave Heumann. His most recent project is Television Hill and he has released a 14 song CD called "Twilight" which was released on Teneral Records in July of 2005. Rob is currently fine tuning new material for Televsion Hill's "My Name's Hardin", a six song concept EP about the infamous Texas outlaw John Wesley Hardin.Watch Rob perform Donkey Blues live at Molasses Island:
