About Me

The Daily Torment

I generally don't talk too much unless I think there's something to say; otherwise, it's just goofy jokes and puns. I've been told I'm extremely sarcastic. I have a degree in film and psychology. I write. I make music. It is difficult for me to remember anyone's name. I am in love with lady V, and have been so for some time. I keep odd hours of the day. Or night. Or dragon.

My Interests

Music, Film, writing, V, coffee, Guinness Draught, cereal, really good salads, video games (they had a lot of influence on me as a youngun).

I'd like to meet:

People who need a script, people to collaborate with. Maybe your mom.

Music:

Music is important. I love a lot of different kinds of music, though I am predominantly a rock/metal kid at heart. I also enjoy music with weird genre blends and changes. Blind Guardian, Arcturus, Maiden, Led Zepplin, Floyd, Metallica sans Trujillo, Opeth, Soilwork, Mindless Self Indulgence, Celldweller, Rammstein, Rhapsody, Hammerfall, Nightwish, Helloween, Danzig with or without the Misfits, the Faint, Tub Ring, Mr. Bungle, They Might Be Giants.Support your local bands! Unsigned acts will remember your help. The big ones will dismiss your adulation.

Movies:

So many good ones, so many more bad. Right now my idea of the perfect film is Sean of the Dead. Also: the LOTR films, the ORIGINAL Star Wars trilogy, Blade Runner (the director's cut; it's way more atmospheric), Kung Pow, Office Space, Napoleon Dynamite, The Princess Bride.

Television:

SCREW TELEVESION. Rots the mind and body. There are very few things worth watching, and now they are available on DVD or you tube, so hah. Aqua Teens, Family Guy, Simpsons, Chapelle, South Park. TV is a monitor for DVDs and game consoles.

Books:

Heres the breakdown: Lord of the Rings and the related literature, Frank Herbert's Dune series despite the ending (no, I haven't read the new ones... soon, soon), Douglas Adams' Hitchhikers' Guide series, and my new holy grail: The Night's Dawn Trilogy by Peter F Hamilton. AMAZING books, those.

Heroes:

You, for finding something to live for. Me, for ending sentences with prepositions.

the unveiling

I don't blog much because I find it creepy. Letting the world at large know my personal thoughts is too big-brotherish an extension of our ever-shrinking, cell-phone-centric universe. Also, I'm n...
