About Me

Indie â€“ acoustic outfit NEWPORT began in 2005 as the solo project of singer/songwriter Matthew Knight. After the debut release of â€˜These fairgrounds I once lovedâ€™ (2006) & hitting the cafes and venues of his hometown, NEWPORT has found a steady rise to an ever warming reception. The recruitment of bassist Jeremy Oâ€™Connor and drummer Justin Rouillon has seen the gentle migration toward expanding the horizons of NEWPORT as a band whilst continuing to sprout the sweetest of sounds and acoustically anchored delights.

some usless info re recordings

hey hey, so to give a blogful update on the recording and demo release, i've got my official master copy of the demo 'these fairgrounds i once loved' back and am getting the artwork completed tomorrow...
