Tayisha Busay is an Avant-provacoteur girl groups that consists of songs that I write on the synthesizer keyboard and sing along to. It is also made up of dance moves performed by Ariel Sims, Hope Bowers, and me, in the style of fly-girls, cheerleaders, and weird modern dance performance artist's that do synchronized interpretive movements.
Influences: Fireworks, christmas lights, and glow sticks. Body rubs. Looking at people and watching them do things, like walk around and talk. My Dad taped a lot of stuff off TV when I was a kid, so I have watched and rewatched a large amount of 80s and 90s television and commercials that I still view from time to time. I like hard and fast things like Nirvana! and slow beautiful things like the velvet underground. Sun setting, moon rising, people walking down the street smiling to themselves.
Pee Wee's Playhouse shaped a lot of who I am today.
Sounds Like: fly girl choreographed dance moves, projected video, dance dance electro synth pop with great melody vocals, like M.I.A. meets brian eno. very entertaining, a good show like contemporary vaudeville.
