Simon Dredo was born on the 30th of October 1971 in Padova, Italy. His passion for rock bass guitar started after two years of classic guitar study and at the age of 15 he was already playing in many local rock bands. A couple of years later, in 1988, he joined Laroxx, a famous Hard Rock band which had a great following in the north of the country.
In the summer of 1991 Kelly Grey became the new singer of the band and after many live experiences across Italy, they started recording their first album named simply "LaRoxx", made of 12 tracks of pure Street Metal. In the meantime he worked together with singer and friend Francesca Chiara for the recordings of the Misstery demo.
The reviews were great almost everywhere and in 1992, after some live shows in Italy, LaRoxx played a promotional tour in California getting involved in live events at the famous Troubadour and the F.M. Station in Los Angeles. In September 1994 Morby (Sabotage, Labyrinth, Domine) joined the band as a singer and recorded the vocals for the single "Suicide", taken from the previous studio album. The song was included in the LA Foundation Forum Collection.
In 1995, after further line-up changes and another Italian and European tour, LaRoxx released their second album "Help Me Out!", produced by Pick-Up Records and distributed in Italy by Dig-it, Europe by KDC/Point and Japan by King/Nexus. A new tour in eastern Europe soon followed, with many Radio and TV appearances, before the joining of Al Levi Minzi and Arthur Falcone (Devils Claws, Halloween, Foxy Lady).
In 1996 Simon started collaborating with other bands both for studio and live work, performing different musical genres with great ability for underground bands or famous acts such as one of the best known Italian bands of the 60's, "I Delfini". In 1998, after the last LaRox tour with the participation of famous drummer Cam Colleluori (Garden Wall, Vicious Mary), Simon started a collaboration with the great Italian guitarist Alex De Rosso (Dark Lord, Dokken) and six months later became his official bass player for all his projects.
In December 2000 Dredo recorded the bass parts for the third Alex De Rosso solo album and two years later Dizplay finally completed his Official Web Site Simondredo.net. The third Alex De Rosso album was released in January 2003 ("The Thin Line Between Black And White" on Atrheia records/Edel) while "Nobody Is Perfect" (the only instrumental track on the album) was included in a compilation called "Guitarchef 1" by Level Production.
Beside the intense live activity with bands like Icebreakker, an explosive AC/DC Tribute Band, he also worked with Bob Parolin (Alex De Rosso) e Ale Doc (Positiva, Gemelli Diversi, Tiziano Ferro) for a Federico Vian project. At the beginning of 2005 he got asked to tour England with Adam Bomb’s band in his "Welcome To My Disaster Tour" which brought him to play in the best English rock clubs as headliner for 37 shows.
After getting back home Simon was asked to become the official bass player for a new big project based in Milan, The LoveCrave. The band was formed by Francesca Chiara (Sanremo '99), Tank Palamara (Pino Scotto, For Sale, Oxido) and Iakk, who had been playing together for many years. In March 2006, after several months of hard work, the band signed with the German label RepoRecords and the highly acclaimed debut album "The Angel And The Rain" was finally released in Europe in October 2006!
Supported by the main gothic rock magazines in Germany (Zillo, Sonic Seducer...) and the biggest rock/metal radios in Europe, The LoveCrave went through some great shows supporting the well-known Canadian act The Birthday Massacre, performed as headliners at the Camden Underworld in London in January, kicked ass at the world famous WGT Festival in Leipzig (Kohlrabizirkus Stage) in May 07 and were chosen to open the eight edition of M’Era Luna (the biggest gothic festival in Europe) in Hildesheim on August 11th, 2007.
