I like to shake my ass, but watch myself. I like playing and prancing and dancing and cavorting and eating and drinking and going and staying and travelling. Breathing is pretty good. My life kind of rocks a great deal.
Someone who doesn't believe in fairies, preferably.
Not your friend's band. Yes, I know they "totally sound like the Clash." But they don't. And I already like the real Clash. I was punk a long time ago. I like music that has a subculture built around it so I can emulate it and not think on my own fashions.
Annie Hall, Casablanca, Psycho, Blood Simple, Double Indemnity, His Girl Friday, M, Withnail and I, Buffalo 66, me and you and everyone we know, Heavenly Creatures, Bottle Rocket, The Wild Bunch, the great silence, the third man, empire of the sun,etc etc etc
I watch all my TV on DVDs. The usual well-recommended geeky stuff (Freaks and Geeks, Carnivale, Rome, Deadwood, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, The Shield, The Wire). I don't really like talking about TV. I either know way too much or way too little for the conversation.
Watership Down, Faust, So I married a comunist, Kavalier and Clay, lots of comics. right now? JAR OF FOOLS, Busiek's CONAN, QUEEN AND COUNTRY, POWERS, BLANKETS, Ellis' Iron Man. Ellis' Fantastic Four. Perrenially: Preacher, Transmetropolitan, Jimmy Corrigan, Optik Nerve, Ultimate Spider-Man, Batman. Back to real books? Lots and Lots and Lots and Lots of history and biblical archeology books. Hell, i subscribe to "biblical archeology monthly". I shit you not.
I'd say Spider-Man, but he is a SuperHero. My heroes are my friends who constantly humble me. My hero is myself. My hero is also the guy who came to my house to repair the closet door because i CLEARLY had little or no idea what i was doing.
