Sancast

O Sancast foi um projeto criado no início de 2002 em Piracicaba, SP, a partir das bandas THC, Punch Down e Ação T4. Com a sinergia entre essas bandas, os amigos/integrantes do Sancast, que já atuavam no cenário independente de bandas desde 1995, puderam expressar sua musicalidade e idealismo ao ritmo Hardcore, mesclando agressividade, velocidade, pegada, peso e melodias. Influenciados por NOFX e STRUNG OUT, e por outras bandas que não pertencem ao berço californiano como METALLICA entre outras , o Sancast busca caracterizar suas produções com músicas criativas, que tratam não somente dos problemas político-sociais existentes, mas também de questões sobre nosso imaginário, ou seja, sobre vertentes humanas como esperança, identidade(s), entendimentos, éticas, etc. Nesse sentido, com letras escritas de forma clara e, ao mesmo tempo, temperadas com frases abstratas/subjetivas, o Sancast explora também idéias sobre o pensamento e conhecimento, onde perpassam, essencialmente, concepções filosóficas.

Sancast was a project created in the beggining of 2002 in Piracicaba, SP, from the bands THC, Punch Down and Ação T4. With the sinergy between these bands, the friends/integrants of Sancast, who have already acted in the independent band scenery since 1995, they could express their musicality and idealism in the Hardcore style, fusing agressivity, speed, catch, heavy rhythms and melodies. Influenced by NOFX and Strung Out, as well as other bands that don’t belong to the californian cradle like Metallica and others, Sancast tries to caracterize its productions with creative songs, which care not only about the political-social existing problems, but also with questions about our imagination, therefore songs about human sources like hope, identity(ies), understandings, ethics, etc. In this context, with clearly written lyrics, and, at the same time, lyrics which contain abstracts/subjectives phrases, Sancast also explores ideas about thoughts and knowledge, where philosophical conceptions are essentially shown.
