The A Game
What do The A Game and George Clooney have in common? Other than testosterone and a dedicated following captivated by their performances, both are stiff competitors for the Sexiest Man Alive title. But besides The A Game being extremely soft on the eyes, they also have a sound that will have girls shaking their butts and guys rocking nonstop. Thumping guitars, synthesized beats and audacious, layered vocals create the profusion of emotion resonating through The A Game.
The five Beaumont, Texas lookers came together in 2005 when their previous endeavors hit hard times. It began when Bobby Parrott, Blake Roddy and James Faust, all ex members of West Evangeline, decided to stick together after the bands demise in hopes of playing music once again. Their prayers were answered and soon Tony Stolfa (of Bridgeview) and Chance Sweat (of Stalemind) joined as the final components of this hard-hitting combo.
The A Game’s first EP entitled Guarantees in Good Taste was released in December 2006. Such songs as “Honestly†and “Interstate 1†illustrate a power pop punk sound common of acts like The Get Up Kids and Saves The Day. Just happy to be playing music, the boys have shared the stage with bands: Over It, Meriwether, On The Last Day, Monty Are I, Forever In Motion, LoveHateHero, Tyler Read, Set Your Goals, The Summer Obsession and PlayRadioPlay (Just To Name A Few).
“We believe in everything that we do and owe an uncanny amount of thanks to all of the people who have believed in us as well as supported us from day one,†states the band.
