Art and books, which I tend to hoard... Lots of contradicting -isms: Existentialism, Anthropomorphism, hedonism, Objectivism, Surrealism, Pedomorphism, Transcendentalism, Mysticism, Symbolism, Witticism, Criticism, Dualism, Expressionism. Also: Raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles, warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with strings, cream colored ponies, crisp apple strudels, doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles, wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings, girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes, and silver white winters that melt into spring.
Handsome lions who like to have their manes combed and braided and set with pretty red ribbons. Also handsome lions who just so happen to have wings and want to fly me to Egypt. I really would like to go to Egypt. Via a flying lion. Or a Shedu, if you want to get all fancy. They do not really care what you call them... they are just in it for the frequent flyer miles and cherry licorice treats.
The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them.
