KC ANDERSON - Biography%D%A%D%A%Dorn and raised in New York’s dance music scene, KC Anderson’s career as a DJ began on the radio airwaves in 1998 on Party 105.3 in Long Island, NY. It was here in his own hometown where KC honed his talents as an On-Air DJ personality as well as Mixshow DJ. From there he became Director of Promotions at Nervous Records breaking several ..1 dance records such as Widelife’s “I Don’t Want You”, Pepper Mashay’s “Dive In The Pool” and Jessica Folker’s “To Be Able To Love”. As a staple in NYC nightlife, KC is an advocate for DJs and quality dance music. His presence and understanding of the dance music community contributes to his success to this day. Currently, his mixshow “KC’s Velvet Lounge” is played on New York’s Hottest dance station 103.5 WKTU every Friday night following legendary DJ David Morales. %D%A%Ds a DJ, KC’s style derives from the essence of the old school New York dance radio. “It’s all about House Music,” say KC, “old school classics and new house cuts smooth and funky…deep and sexy…”%D%A%D%AHis main room club debut dates back to 1991 at Caffeine (LI) with Frankie Bones and Limelight (NYC) with Keoki. Over the years he would play NYC clubs such as Centro-fly, Discotheque, Deep, and Crobar, as well as spin summers in the Hamptons at hotspots such as Brazil, Seven, and Tavern. One of the highlights in KC’s DJ career was in 2002 where he was chosen to spin in London at the Ministry of Sound for the Nervous 10 Year Reunion Party. “It was a special night for me,” explains KC, “to be at the Ministry of Sound DJing for thousands of people, alongside DJs I admire such as Tony Humphreys, Bobby & Steve from Soul Heaven and the Pound Boys.”%D%A%D%AWith the success of his “Velvet Lounge” mixshow reaching millions every week in New York’s tri-state area, KC finds himself playing the trendiest lounges and hotels. “Whether I’m spinning a main room or trendy lounge, to me it’s still all about making the connection with people through music.”
