About Me

I'm EASYGOING, I LOVE LIFE, I adore my family, my fiancee Valentina, eternal puppy Kalani and little kitten Keiki, I live to surf and love being around the ocean, dig indian food and sashimi, I do believe in Karma, I'm happy when I wake up in the morning and I am always keen to embark for new adventures all over the world. I graduated as a civil engineer but I'm currently traveling the world as a professional surfer, freelance writer, apprentice photographer and surf guide...surfing is a big part of my life and brought me as far as Hawai’i, Australia, Indonesia, California, France, Spain, Portugal, India, Sri Lanka, Greece, Tunisia, Mexico, Brazil, Canary Islands, Myanmar (ex Burma), Peru, South Korea, Philippines, Morocco, Maldives, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Liberia, Oman, the Comoros Islands, South Africa, Mauritania, Madagascar and of course all over my beloved Italy. I am a competitive person, surfed heaps of contests both in Italy and internationally before politics took over the italian competitive scene and I decided that it wasn't worth it any longer: I have been banned from the IST tour (ran by Surfing italia) in 2007 and 2008 because I surfed for the Italian national team (on behalf of Fisurf) at the European Championship and got a 6th place in the seniors, but you know what?! I am PROUD of it and would do it again and again...fuck those losers and their stupid contests. The Team Italia profile (it's in my top friends) was specifically set up to raise awareness about this issue, check it out if you want to learn more or show some support. By the way, now I am free to do whatever I want with my surfing and I am lucky to have some amazing sponsors that support me all along the way. Can't stand doing nothing, always busy doing something or thinking about things I want to do next...when I'm not doing one of the aforementioned activities, then I'm probably reading, training, sleeping or having a good time with my friends...most of the people I grew up surfing with or met along the way turned out to be some amazing role models who showed me the way and always backed me up. I definitely owe a lot to them for who I am today. I'd never let a friend or loved one down, and if I could, I'd take them with me wherever I go! Aloha, Emi.
