About Me
The Only Game In Town better known as TOGIT (Tah-git) is the most chill game store you could possibly ever find. Located at 211 West Main Street in Somerville; we carry a variety of non-electronic games such Magic The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, VS System, Warmachine, Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40,000, Axis and Allies minis, Star Wars minis, Pirates, Dungeons and Dragons, Dream blade, and loads of other board games, war games, and card games. If we don’t have what your looking for in stock we can usually order it for you. In addition to carrying all these various awesome, games we also run several events for them on constant basis, including Sunday Yu-Gi-Oh at 1:00pm, Sunday VS at 1:30pm, Wednesday night Roll To Wound (our war games club) at 7:00pm, Friday Night Magic (FNM) at 6:30pm, Friday night Draft at 7:00pm, Saturday Extended format Magic Tournament at 1:00pm, and if that’s not enough every month we hold at least one mega battle for either Warhammer Fantasy or Warhammer 40,000. If we are still not cool enough for you then this will make you dig us, by far one of the coolest things that TOGIT has is the Curmudgeon shows; once maybe twice a month Curmudgeon music gets together some cool bands and we have us a show, TOGIT has since adopted the slogan "My game store is more punk rock than yours." Lastly about our staff, we have the boss-lady Sandy Bonnell, who without her TOGIT wouldn’t even be here, she’s a nice gal, funny, and smart to boot. Then we got Frankie Sutherland the store manager, a master class painter, chill guy, and an old school punk rocker. His games knowledge is amazing. Now to Todd Zubatkin, TOGIT's senior employee, Todd is currently a Rutgers College Junior. Todd's been here longer than any of us working here since his early high school years. He's here every Saturday. Our newest member is Cat, she is working the counter and the computer. Her model painting shows a great future and she is part of her schools' warhammer club. Moving along we have our puedo-employees, first we have Jimpat Fitzgerald, basically he's TOGIT's tech support (JimPat was recently injured in a housefire, you can read more about his struggle at http://www.patricksjourney.com). Then we have Sullen Braids Metal Mike, TOGIT's official unofficial employee, Mike pretty much chills at the store and just does work when extra help is needed or when someone’s feeling too lazy to do work. There's MonkeyPaw (aka Will)who is always ready to jump in when needed, constantly reminding Sandy "I'm here!". Will also recently took up the Dungeon Master title. We don't want to forget Jim, our ponytailed master painter,he's considered our fantasy rules judge. when he's not in the store marching his armies off to battle, you can find him doing heavy weapons fighting in armour. Jim opens most weekday mornings. Well that’s it, that pretty much sums up The Only Game In Town, so stop by sometime, play some games, meet some cool people and have a good time.
