About Me

The Soul Rebel Collective (Bham, AL)
We are a collective of artists, dj's, photographers, visual artis, graphic designers, beat makers, cool down to earth revolutionaries, creative radical thinkers and doers, activists, entrepreneurs, individualists, writers, poetics, musicians, film makers, music lovers, b-boys/b-girls, freestylers, noncomfomers, teachers, ...
Due to the strong and steady degredation of American (pop) culture, the Soul Rebel Collective stand apart supporting innovative, progressive arts, and artists. Our goal is to promote social (r)evolution, an international consciousness through the arts, the primary avenue being Soul music. Why soul?
Soul & Rock n' Roll were once the voice of an opinionated and powerful generation. Students, young artists, socialists, and (r)evolutionary enthusiasts were on a course for creating an enlightend and socially progressive American culture. The Soul Rebels are calling for a REBIRTH of sorts; we're taking up the baton. We hope that by channeling our roots in rebellion, we may assist in the unification and social awakening necessary to "heal the world."
R.I.S.E is our quarterly event where we expose various soulful artists, alternative soul bands, DJs, painters, b-boys/b-girls, hiphop, and spokenword artists.
