rasing my child the right way, good ideas and poems, playing guitar, science, superheros, baseball, open wheel racing and friends.
Bjork, Anne Sexton,a homeless person, Harry Truman, Benjamin Franklin, Einstien, whoever thought up Godzilla, Kevin Smith, Jello Biafra, Ralph Nader, Mohammad Ali, Art Bell and Cezar Chavez. I'd like to have dinner with them all at the same time. Just for the conversation.
The easiest form of expression for me. I've been known to make music from time to time. (with and without beans) I guess I've mellowed with age because my taste is expanding. I've grown from being a pretty straight forward rock fan to more of a folk/anti-folk, alt country, rockabilly, bluegrass, etc kind of guy. Don't get me wrong, I still go for the good rock, but there seems to be less and less of it. People I really dig are artist like PJ Harvey, Hamell on Trial, Son Volt, Gillian Welch, James McMurtury and Wilco. All time favorites would be the Clash, the Ramones, the Kinks, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, the Who, AC DC and the list could go on forever.
I'm a nerd as you are about to find out: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, The Empire Strikes Back, Superman II, Tron, Smokey and the Bandit, Vampire's Kiss, The Devil's Rejects, Army of Darkness
For someone who spends too much time in front of the tube, I don't watch any shows on a regular basis. I did like Rescue Me quite a bit, but it got to be too hard to watch. I watch baseball. Does that count? If I ever end up on tv and I'm not playing the part of someone else and I'm trying to cheat my way to win something by being an ass to other people doing the same thing.....kill me.
The complete works of Anne Sexton is about where it starts and ends. I do also like to read a little Bukowski. Thanks to my good buddy mscreant for turning me on to him so many years ago.
The Green Lantern...many real heroes but we wont get into that right now.
