POORCOW

WELCOME FRIENDS !!

About Me

Oh I dwell in the north in the green country, Faramir, Faramir And I take to my rest at the end of the day; whilst o'erhead pretty stars do play. And then I dream along, and then I make a song, about everything that I've known and felt. And it makes my sadness melt. Then I wake up in a funny old kind of day-the rain has gone away.....
...Donovan "Poorcow"

There are no roads--roads are made by walking. There are no words to tell a friend the way. There's only you, and you can make your dreams come true; by what you do, not what you say. There are no clues to find the hidden treasure. No certainty, you'll win this game you play--there's only you, and you can make your dreams come true. By what you do not what you say.

You're such a fine person: you feel you've failed. Honey don't hide that feeling--it's a lesson unveiled. Own up and be forgiven, maybe then changes flow. Contemplate no man's sorrow--you have your own you know.
There is a cure for what it is that ails you, there is a balm to soothe your cares away. It is in you, only you can make your dreams come true--by what you do, not what you say........
..............Donovan "There Are No Roads"
Because children's thoughts are like angels' thoughts, and angels' thoughts are like flowers...

And I'll always remember you, wherever I wander to...

Peace, gentle peace. Peace, the hope of man. For the future of this world, for the children, boy and girl....
...Donovan "Living On Love"
Open my eyes to visions pure and fair--That I might see, the glory around me...
.....Donovan "Brother Sun, Sister Moon"
All time low, the weatherman said, I don't need him to tell me, that I know. A belt of heavy pressure building, and over all the Earth, I feel it grow.....
It's only to be expected, when we poison the water and we poison the air. Only to be expected, when we communicate hate everywhere. Only to be expected, when we're way out of sync with nature's way............
..............Donovan "Only To Be Expected"

My Interests

I love arts and crafts, including floral arrangements, fabric painting, sketching, sewing and fixing things that are broken (except electrical stuff). My favorite toys are my drill, jigsaw, and anything else in the toolbox.

Ancestry--all of my grandparents immigrated from Poland, so I've been brought up with the usual Polish customs. I recently learned that my paternal Grandmother was a Carpathian Roma, so I guess that makes me part Gypsy. How appropriate for a Donovan fan !!

Dark the days fall, illusions a plenty Our love keeps shining to brighten the shade...

"Unseen Comfort"
War--senseless war. War, the greed of man. And the next one, we all know--no one can win, so let's show. Living on love, and making our lives--living on love, making no strife. Living on love, and losing our fear. Living on love, and making no tears...
...Donovan "Living On Love"

She walks through the stars, past Saturn and Mars. Who knows how she feels--with the moon on her heels....
...Donovan "Lady of the Stars"

Hold your head high,be who you are,
Climb on a cloud, and reach for a star,
Life is a journey

The earth is my body, the sea is my blood The mountains are my bones, the rain is my word- The trees are my long hair, the soil is my skin- My heart she’s a furnace, fiery love within.
...Donovan "Earth Is My Body"

Before too long let's save the world; it's not too late to save the world. I call on every boy and girl, awaken to the inner world.I won't get over losing you; the forest green and ocean blue. So let's all see if we can be civilized and free. Before too long let's save the world, it's not too late to save the world. You may say it's just a dream, but fate is never what it seemsNo matter what your faith may sing, Allah be praised or Christ the King, Jehovah, Budda , Chairman Mao, we're all beginning now! It's not too late----to save the world
..........Donovan "Save The World"

She's my lady of the stars....
...Donovan

It's the heart afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of waking, that never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give.
And the soul afraid of dying, that never learns to live.
"The Rose"--Bette Midler

Let me not hear facts, figures and logic, Fain would I hear lore, legend and magic
...........Donovan "Roots Of Oak"

"What a beautiful creature you are..."
...Donovan

Love is a sorrow and love is a sign, and love was the sparkle in your hazel eyes
I was the dreamer and you were the dream--my life seemed so empty, was so it did seem
....Donovan "The Promise"

"There is an ocean, of vast proportion--and it flows within itself..."
...Donovan

I am God's creature---of Him I am part. I feel His love, awakening my heart...
...Donovan "Brother Sun Sister Moon"

You've just begun, for to awaken. Do walk, don't run-you're not forsaken. No one can free you from your own prison. No one can see you. Take your time, don't hurry. It's all right, don't worry...

Cat is smiling into me...

Let me be a little kinder, let me be a little blinder-- To the faults around me, let me praise a little more--Let me be when I am weary, just a little more cheery-- And think a little more of others, and a little less of me
...Donovan "Let Me Be"

A day once dawned, as sleepers yawned
A day of leaves so greeny-o
That a man rode high, in the tinker sky
And bade me to go running-o And follow the path of the gypsy-o
....Donovan "The Enchanted Gypsy"

Little white flower, why do you tremble so?
So come to me now, joyfully!!
............Donovan "Little White Flower"

"Love is only feeling, feeling for you. Love is only feeling, feeling for me"

Music:

My taste in music is diverse, although Donovan and Neil Young are by far my favorites. The others I like are too many to list, and I'm sure the list below leaves many out. I also enjoy the beautiful sounds by my good friends Lucy D'Mot, Davy McGowan, and Jore Heikkila. BTW, the "American Watercolor Movement", is an art-rock group featuring my nephew Jason Cieradkowski.

Movies:

I usually don't go out to a movie, but when I rent or watch a movie, it's usually drama, romance, comedy or documentary.

My favorite place is the shore. I have loved it all my life, and as a child and into adulthood, it is a place that brings me peace, joy, and lots of wonderful memories. There is no other place on earth where one can feel the vastness of the universe and realize that you are but one small part of the whole. It is here, at the shore, where I am truly happy and fullfilled, as all worries and burdens are washed away with each wave, leaving just the beauty of life.

J. Warren

Television:

News (CNN, MSNBC) and movies on Lifetime

Well, I went to Edinburgh Scotland and had a great time. My plans are to save some money and travel again, which will soothe my "Gypsy Soul"

Books:

Mysteries. I've read all of Agatha Christies books, Rex Stout, Ellis Peters, Elisabeth Peters, Ed McBain and many others. I can read a book/day.

Love is the melody, always for you and me. Strong is the harmony, the bond between you and me.
...Donovan "Dearheart"

Oh my love, I will will come when the flowers bloom
..Donovan "The Promise"

Heroes:

Sailing homeward, it's time to go home, Over the ocean of life we must roam. And when you get there, say hello for me, For I've a long, long way to go.

Donovan "Sailing Homeward"

My Heroes are my parents, Nell and Joseph Cieradkowski and my true love, Frank MacKay. Mom and Dad, to you I dedicate the song "Wind Beneath My Wings." To you Frank, I dedicate our song "Through The Years". Although you aren't here with me, I hold you close in my heart until we meet once again, in a place where the only tears shed are tears of happiness. I love you all.

Our beloved John-Paul "The Great"
