Portico Threadz™ began as an experiment out of boredom one night by Josh Porter and Adam “Tico†Hernandez. The end result: The Okies Rock™ collection. Former bandmates in the band Prizefighter, and longtime friends, Porter and Tico both studied graphic design in college. Following the band Prizefighter, Porter started multiple companies, including a design company, Porter Promo, and a dance studio, Ovations, both based of of their hometown of Sapulpa, OK. Tico left for Nashville in pursuit of work playing guitar and writing songs in the music biz and began playing with artists such as Liquid, DJ Maj, Dove winning artist KJ-52, Group 1 Crew, Jaci Velasquez, and Grammy™ nominated, Dove award winning artist Pillar.
After seeing the results of a test run of the Okies Rockâ„¢ shirts, Josh and Adam decided to start an apparel company. Their objective: to bring you trendy clothing that ROCKS! Now featuring five designs, Portico Threadzâ„¢ has launched their online store, www.porticothreadz.com, and continues to be sold in boutique stores around the Oklahoma area.
