Marlon Allamby, better known as Dy'rec is an emerging Singer/Songwriter/Producer who was raised on the infamous and unforgiving street named Jane in his birth city of Toronto. Though Dy'rec has always had a love for music that can only be compared to the love for his mother, family and friends. It was the age of 16 when he realized that he wasn't content with just listening to music, but he had the passion and ability to create it. Dy'rec's sound is a unique mixture of multiple influences such as Jodeci, R.Kelly, Ginuwine and Avant just to name a few common and recent names, but his understanding and love of music began by listening to vinyl from his mothers favorite artist like, Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight & The Pips, The Stylistics and many others. Growing up listening to Soul, R&B, Hip Hop and Motown has made Dy'rec's sound appealing to a wide variety of avid music fans. Dy'rec's relevant writings, catchy hooks, and his melodic beats title him as a triple threat artist who's music is not heard, it's felt.
