My Interests

Writing and recording music, making engine components for dragbikes, arguing for geocentrism, playing blitz chess, sleeping, playing guitar, sleeping some more, giving you the opportunity to make me look stupid and watching you bite. And then looking stupid anyways.

I'd like to meet:

Big black women who can snap their gum on every chew.

Music:

Tomita, Brian Eno, Morricone, Astor Piazzolla, Bob Hund, Rollerskate Skinny, Lawrence Welk and Cliff Edwards. Lately Les Baxter and Dominic Frontiere. The Sugarplastic, natch.

Movies:

I really liked the two Ghost in the Shell animations that came out recently. A Clockwork Orange and 2001. Blue Velvet, The Magnificent Amberson's, Kung Fu Hustle, The King of Comedy (DeNiro, Lewis), Um...there's more, I'm sure.

Television:

Deadwood. Sopranos. Extras. Arrested Development. 24. Cowboy Bebop (best if you accent the second syllable of "Bebop")

Books:

By writers; Borges, Feyerabend, Dylan Thomas, Chesterton, Dickens, C.S. Lewis, Bruno Latour, Thomas Kuhn, Chris Ware, and lately, Steven Fuller, and, Richard Rorty. Though I'm rapidly growing tired of Rorty. Aren't you?

My Blog

I Built One of Those Time Machines...

Most of the time machines you see advertised on the internet or in Popular Science magazine run about $2,500 for the blueprints and another $3K for materials. That's pretty cheap for a real live time ...
