I'm a Kansas farm girl who has lived in St. Louis, Chicago, New York and Austin before moving to LA. I like to read. Some of my favorite things to read: The New Yorker, good literary fiction, pop culture blogs, classic short stories, fairy tales and, when I fly, trashy gossip magazines. I like to listen to This American Life. I like to cook. Some of my specialties are red velvet cake, chicken enchiladas, maple glazed pork tenderloin and any kind of breakfast food, though I wouldn't serve them together. I'm fortunate to have amazing friends. Many are old friends from college, some are new friends and one is my best friend from kindergarten. I have a great family. I've had a lot of great adventures in my life and I'm sure I'll have more. I'm smart. I'm pretty funny too. I'm a feminist. I'm often told I have a great laugh. My favorite quote about me (related by a friend): "She's beautiful AND she drives like Steve McQueen."
