Anthony Rodriguez, born to Puerto Rican parents and raised in the
Soundview section of the Bronx, has developed his own style of dance and named it TODASI (to dance and sign). He received formal training from the Helen Buttleroff Dance Studio, Ballet Hispanico (where he was the first male
to receive the Tito Puente's dance scholarship), and LaGuardia High School of
the Performing Arts. An accomplished soloist, Anthony was a featured
dancer on the 2001 Madonna Drowned World Tour, and has also worked for Prince, Cyndi Lauper, Marc Anthony, Tito Puente, and others. He is the
Artistic Director of his own modern/jazz dance company, La Santa Luz. The
company toured China for three weeks, playing to sold-out stadiums, and became the first American Latino dance company to tour the country. La Santa Luz has also performed at Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Joyce SoHo, Hobart & William Smith, Lehman College, Hostos Community College, Bronx Community College, and the Bronx Museum through a Pepatian project, among others.and a big
