About Me

AMANI"Without struggle, there is no progress." - Frederick Douglass
..Nobody knows why we’re here or where we’re going (if you say you do than you’re lying.) What I do know is we’re alive today. So we got to live life and experience everything before it’s gone. Think about it. In a hundred years, nothing we say or do will matter. Tomorrow is death, yesterday is gone, but today is now. So enjoy it fast and enjoy it hard.I’ve been throughout South America, Europe, & the US, making lifelong friends along the way. I’m definitely a partier (love clubbing in London.) But I’m also about giving back. I’ll be going to Africa to start a foundation and ready to tear the Asia scene in Thailand. I’m all about crazy adventures. I love to go out with friends, and showing off my awesome dance moves. I can’t sit still. I’m always on the go. And I’m always getting into trouble. I’m impulsive at times. But I’m a guy filled with passion. Especially about making a difference and changing the world for the better. I’m an honor student at FIU. Planning to study human rights law at Columbia (if all things go right) and leaving my mark in this world.

My Interests

Animated Gifs .. ..I love my job! I’m a peer educator, meaning I go to the streets and meet pimps, homeless people, convicted felons the works. I educate them about prevention and get them tested right there. You can't even imagine! Everyday is a trip. The drawback is you’re always putting yourself at risk. I already had two close calls with death (one due to an infection and the other armed robbery.) Sometimes people go crazy on you. And there are plenty of heartbreaking moments too. A lot of people get sick and some even die. It can take a big toll on you. But you can't take that shit home. Or it could ruin your life. Like any superhero, saving lives is not easy. Unfortunately, you can’t save everyone.

Music:

I like all kinds of music except classical (sorry Carl.) I listen mostly Sirius or college radio and download it into my iPod. College radio is awesome! They had this baby crying with drum beats in the background. That was the WHOLE song. Lol. Strange but I liked it.My favorites are mostly underground music like: Xiu Xiu, Sigur Ros, Ween, Citizen Cope, The Notwist, Primitive Radio Gods, Goldfrapp, Red, Blonde Redheads, Orbital, Vitalic, Underworld, etc. I’m tired of corporate America shoving the same bland crap down my throat.

Movies:

I like independent films, documentaries: 7 up was a great documentary! It was about a class of kids and they check up on them every 7 years (7, then 14, 21, 28, 35) You see how they change and grow up but they're still the same. Really interesting. I like anything foreign. Blockbusters are cool too. LOTR, Beowulf, Transformers, etc. I sometimes like to watch porn with my friends to see the horrible acting. Favorite quote: "Poca-hot-ass the villagers need your help pitching their tents."img src="http://i14.tinypic.com/8b7sdox

Going to Africa

I did it! I'll be staying in a small village not far from the city of Asmara. I was able to network with some people that live in Eritrea. So I'm going there for Spring Break! One big problem is that ...

Teaching in China!

I was offered a job to teach students how to speak English in China! It'd have to be there for more than 150 days and it starts this summer. The money's really good, all expenses paid, plus ...
