Mr. Mind Loves Him Some Old Timey Radio!

About Me

el Diablo Robotico is 82.7% Evil and Loving It!!!
el Diablo Robotico (aka Grendel Red)is the most evil person you know.
The devil is even a little scared of him!
He is one bad motherf***er, and one handsome devil!!!
Ironically, having lived in Lubbock,TX most of his life - except the year he lived in Albuquerque, NM -he is not what you would consider "worldly", like a true badass would be!!! Despite this.....he is a total badass.
He truly is the most magnificent bastard you know, and you're better off for it! Just ask anyone who knew him back in the day at Dunbar-Struggs High School (or South Plains College OR Texas Tech University, from which he graduated with a degree in Journalism)- which is now but a memory. He was SO GODDAMN COOL they closed ol' Dunbar down after he left, knowing they would never have another student as kickass and awesome as he was. AND THAT HAIR!! IT FLOWED LIKE A HAIKU FROM THE TOP OF HIS HEAD TO THE MIDLE OF HIS BACK. How Evil Are You?

My Interests

STAR BOOKS & COMICS! 2014-34th St, Lubbock,TX (806)744-0727 When I'm not wasting hour upon hour hanging out at STAR with Danny and Comic Bob...I fill the bottomless pit of my soul with movies, TV, video games, music, going to the gym. You know, things that I can pass the time with that don't require interaction with others. Things that allow me to use them as a defense mechanism, so as to retreat from my sad sad tedious life. Plus, comics are fun! STAR BOOKS & COMICS - PROUD SPONSOR OF THE LUBBOCK COMIC BOOK EXPO.

Music:

BEN FOLDS!
Ben Folds (solo and w/ Ben Folds Five) - he's my music God. My Chemical Romance (and I don't care who knows it!),Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, Gnarls Barkley, NWA, Public Enemy, some old school rap from when I was in high school, Smashing Pumpkins (Zwan was okay just not SP), Blink 182, All-American Rejects, Angels And Airwaves, Chris Isaac, Green Day, Mindy Smith, David Bowie, Gorillaz, Blur, Nick Drake, Blondie, Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, the Mountain Goats, Weezer (older stuff only), Radiohead, Angelo Badalamenti, Anthrax, Ennio Morricone, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Keane. 80s synth-type stuff. you know, most of that soundtrack type stuff from John Hughes' movies. Johnny Cash. The Grease soundtrack. Beta Band, Devo, Pixies, Queen. The Beatles, Wings, John & Yoko, etc. I'm either too embarrassed to admit it or simply fogetting a lot of stuff. Europe, but in an ironic sorta way, cause they really suck! I absolutely HATE George Thourogood or however you spell his dumbass name!

Movies:

CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!
Sin City, Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, Batman Begins, Spider-Man 1 & 2, X-Men 1 & 2, King Kong, The Matrix trilogy, Star Wars trilogy (original ones), Star Wars Ep. 2 & 3 were okay in my book, but GOD ep. 1 sucked. The Killer, Hardboiled (basically any of John Woo's chinese films. Basically any well done Asian Action flicks!), Fight Club, Memento, Gymkata, Snatch, Monty Python movies, etc. Yes, I'm the one guy that HATED all those stupid Lord of the Rings movies, Ferris Beuler's Day Off, Pretty In Pink, Weird Science, Sixteen Candles, Pulp Fiction, Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns, Drugstore Cowboy, Before Sunrise & Before Sunset. Crumb, American Splendor, Hellboy, Rushmore, All David Lynch especially Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, The Elephant Man & Blue Velvet. Akira Kurasowa films - not just the samurai stuff. Silence of the Lambs, SLC Punk, Indiana Jones - No time for Love Dr. Jones, Kevin Smith's movies (some of them), High Fidelity, Grosse Pointe Blank, Tim Burton movies, Office Space, JFK, The Professional, Cool Hand Luke, Seven, Reservoir Dogs, True Romance and......more

SATURDAY : Legion of Super-Heroes (with my son), The Batman, Torchwood and whatever else BBC America is showing on late nights, which is usually Doctor Who.
SUNDAY : Simpsons, Desperate Housewives, Robot Chicken, Metalocalypse & Venture Bros (God's gift to TV!).
WHENEVER NOTHING ELSE IS ON... : Lots and Lots of FOOD NETWORK.GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN : Gilmore Girls (my secret shame), Veronica Mars,Six Feet Under, Arrested Development (you were too good for us), Futurama (you were too good for us too), Twin Peaks, Freaks & Geeks, Sex & The City, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Teen Titans, Friends, Seinfeld, The X-Files, The 4400, The Dead Zone, I'm a sucker for VH1's countdown shows, Sopranos (cause I don't have HBO anymore and I miss it), Carnivale (this show was underrated in my book). And finally.....Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel . Joss Whedon, I miss you on weekly television. Buffy is the only show that foreshadowed things that wouldn't happen for two more years. They even gave us a countdown - and it was accurate! Thank God for LOST, the only show currently on air with as much depth and character development as Buffy: TVS and as twisty and unpredicatable as Twin Peaks.
