(ENTRE), Entre Parenthesis, (Between the brackets)
is a creative collaboration between Neil O’Connor, Kristeen Roy
and invited friends.
Conceived and recorded in their apartment in the Mile End neighbourhood of
Montreal , in a style that is sometimes a punky shade of lounge.
Being more of a studio kind of project there have, to date, been no live
performances though, who knows, in time perhaps there will.
Artist friends who contribute to (ENTRE) creations are, notably,
Valéry Saint- Germain , who supplies the 2 nd voice with Kristeen on the song “Surely (Shirley)†and
DJ Dan Lalonde who wrote the lyrics for “(Ca) tourne †and performs the vocal.
Dan’s performance was one of his last before his untimely and sad passing
just before Christmas 2007.
We hope that you enjoy this work in progress of ours and we’ll be updating
all of this info over the next short period of time.
Kristeen will probably have something to say in a blog about “Shirley†later on,
a very interesting and true story that’s hers to tell.
Most of this has been created during or as a consequence of partying together
and having fun.
Needless to say we were probably “under the influence…†at the time
so please exercise some discretion if there are any very young kids,
ailing Great Aunts or Fascists around as there is, occasionally,
language that some people may find offensive.
Even though Dan is no longer with us, except in spirit, his myspace is still alive and online.
