Social dancing, the UC anime club, Judaism, chocolate, reading (esp fantasy), watching movies (esp scifi/fantasy), and shopping (esp at thrift stores). I also enjoy sleeping and dreaming very much.
Yoda. He's the best.
I like many types of music and don't have any one favorite. My favorite musical is Phantom of the Opera. Also high on my list are most everything else by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Into the Woods, Hair, Les Miz, and the Buffy musical episode. My favorite artists include John Williams, Stan Rogers, Simon and Garfunkel, Enya, Clannad, Loreena McKennitt, Adiemus, Chumbawamba, Meatloaf, Duran Duran, Madonna, Radiohead, and The Who.
No way I can list all my favorite movies as I probably won't even remember all of them. The ones that I can think of on the spot are Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Serenity, Labyrinth, Moulin Rouge, The Matrix, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Once Upon a Time in the West, Run Lola Run, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Benny and Joon, Hair, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Schindler's List.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the best television series I've ever seen. I also have enjoyed Angel and Firefly. Go Josh Whedon! As for now, I don't watch anything devotedly, but I enjoy The Daily Show and The Colbert Report online.
Selected favorites include Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series, George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire, Terry Pratcett's Discworld series, Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, Anne Mccaffrey's Pern series, and everything by Patricia Wrede and Patricia McKillip even the books that aren't a part of any series. I almost forgot, Philip K. Dick's BladeRunner, Frank Herbert's Dune Oscar Wilde's Portrait of Dorian Gray, Walter M. Miller Jr.'s A Canticle for Leibowitz, and Alice Walker's "The Color Purple" (finally, something that is neither scifi nor fantasy). I'm really enjoying the Gearge R.R. Martin book I'm reading right now.
The non-fictional ones are Wu Zi-Tian, Empress Anna of Russia, Stephen Hawking, Louis Brandeis, and Hannah Senesh. The fictional ones are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Jean Grey (Marvel Girl), and of course Yoda. To read about who they are and why I admire them, check out www.annathegreatest.com/heroes.htm
