Renegade are a 4 piece Rock/Glam band from Melbourne, Victoria formed in early 2004 by guitarist/songwriter Greg Hudson. After watching his older brothers (The Runaway Boys, The Line) make their own bands, Greg decided to make some out on his own. Such bands included: Vipers, Purple Haze, and Razors Edge. In 2004 Greg got 3 friends that he had known to begin the band that he was set out to make. This band included the voice of Leigh Brullo, The powerful bass lines of Mike Gentile and the punk drumming of Mazza. Out of the streets of Melbourne a new band was born. The band began writing, practicing and recording the songs that they wrote. Later that year they made the first E.P entitled “Thoughts”. Sadly an album was never made when in early 2005 Leigh Brullo quit the band leaving renegade without a vocalist. Renegade auditioned singers to find the perfect front man to fill lee’s spot. Singer/songwriter Cameron George was picked to lead the band shedding new light on songs of his own. Once again an E.P was made entitled “Methods Of Madness”. The band started playing live shows and then soon after, the album was made, titled “The Broken Window”. Not long after the release of the album, mike and mazza quit renegade. It took greg and cam a long time to get back on their feet to rebuild renegade. They started looking for other musicians but no-one was found. 6 months later in early 2006 a bass player named Alexa Nania was auditioned to play. She got the job pounding her explosive bass lines from her favorite influences. Renegade was being brought back to life. Not long after, a high school rebel named Scott Blaney was asked to play for renegade. He accepted the offer and started to rehearse with the band. Greg and Cameron started writing a whole new set list, one meaner and stronger than before, which led the band to record their first E.P self titled “Renegade”. Renegade once again hit the streets making their name known. It took years for what they are today, but know one does it better than cam, greg, alexa and scott…Renegade!
