Jai Fears was born and raised in the city of Detroit where entertainment has been a part of her life since day one. Before she was able to walk, her parents saw star written all over her face, and began to place her in several commercials (WNBA) and print ads (Nike). At the age of 14, Alecia moved to Burbank, CA for four years, and sang, danced, and acted her way to a very impressive track record. Now 20, and back in her hometown of Detroit, she hasnt slowed down a bit, and her humbling, yet feisty persona continues to leave indelible impressions on everyone she meets.Jai is definitely no stranger to the spotlight. Her impressive resume consists of diverse span of singing, acting, dancing, choreographing, and modeling. She has toured as a dancer with N Sync, Aaron Carter, Aretha Franklin, Charlie Wilson, TLC, Ray J, Johnnie Gill, and Vikki Winans. She was also witnessed by millions at the 2006 Super Bowl XL as a dancer for Stevie Wonder, John Legend and India Arie. She has landed speaking roles in major motion pictures such as The Wood (Taye Diggs), The Rundown (The Rock), MVP (Wood Harris), and a leading role in "Crossover" as she portrays the subtle but explosive role of "Eboni", co-staring Eva Pigford and Wayne Brady. When asked about her first love of music, Jai, will describe her sound as a fusion of pop, rock, with a pinch of hip-hop. Her high energy hit, Break Stuff, with which she has writing credits, is a refreshing blend of those musical genres. Her melodic soprano voice enters a perfect marriage with an edgy, animated rock squelch that sets every track she touches on fire. With exceptional dancing ability, Jais stage show has developed into something special that would make Janet Jackson do a double take.
