Guillaume pratique la guitare depuis bientôt 13 ans. D’abord, il complète, auprès du professeur Hugues Gagnon, un D.E.C. en guitare classique au Cégep de Drummondville. Il y remportera d’ailleurs un premier prix lors du concours provincial Guitare-Drummond. Puis, il poursuit, auprès des professeurs Michael Gauthier et Jonathan Geary, ses études universitaires en guitare jazz à l’Université de Sherbrooke, durant lesquelles il ne recevra pas moins de cinq bourses d’excellence. Maintenant diplômé de l'Université de Sherbrooke, Guillaume enseigne la guitare et se produit au sein de différentes formations dont le Trio Guillaume Gilbert(jazz), le groupe Dactylo Fidelity(electro-rock), le Quatuor d’Origami(jazz), le trio Despertar(bossa-nova, chanson), et le groupe Seagull Talon(indie rock), pour n’en nommer que quelques uns.
Guillaume has been playing guitar for nearly 13 years. First, he attends classes with teacher Hugues Gagnon, completing a D.E.C. in classical guitar from Drummondville College. It's there that he'll win a first prize at the classical guitar contest Guitare-Drummond. Then, he continues at Sherbrooke University, studying jazz guitar with educators Mike Gauthier and Jonathan Geary, where he'll get not least than five merit scholarships. Now a graduate from Sherbrooke University, Guillaume teaches guitar and is involved in a couple of bands, including Trio Guillaume Gilbert(jazz), Dactylo Fidelity (electro-rock), Quatuor D'origami (jazz compositions), Flavie Jazz et Tralala (bossa-nova, swing), Seagull Talon(indie-rock), to name a few.
