This is the myspace page for my future animal sanctuary, called Sanctuary Zoo. It will be more sanctuary than zoo, but the zoo comes into play in that, like a zoo, guests will be able to come see and learn about the animals after paying a small amount of money used as a donation to the sanctuary. I thought I should go ahead and make this page so I can get my name out there. The more guests I have, the more animals I can rescue.
All animals will have more than enough space, (I hate goint to a zoo and seeing animals in enclosuers that are too small) and every enclosure will be as close to the animals' natural habitat as possible. Every animal will have human contact (if possible) to keep the animals from ever being bored. I have lots of ideas for new methods of enrichment, as well.
Along with the normal exotic animals you would normally see in a zoo, I will also have cats and dogs, and other domesticated animals, in enclosures. That way those animals will have a forever home and people will be educated on the fact that pets need to be fixed.
I plan on beginning the first steps towards my sanctuary within the next year and I will keep my progress updated on here so check back often and see how close I am to opening!
Also if anyone has advice, tips, suggestions, or ideas, feel free to message me. Any help will be grately appreciated.
