About Me

I am a Christian, first and foremost. Beyond that...hmm...let's see...I am married to my wonderful, beautiful wife Jessica, I have a dog named Peanut (Lhasa Apso). I live in Richmond, KY.
My Blog
My blog, formerly known to be daily, will now be posted from time to time due to extensive Summer courses and work taking all of my time. I have a biblical worldview, and I study culture and people quite closely to formulate a fair approach to issues and honest solutions. Click here to see my blog.
Andrew's Life Updates
I have been accepted at Southern Baptist Seminary! I am excited to see how the Lord will use me!
My brother and his wife are heading for India in a mission through YWAM. Please pray for them, as the Truth is being spoken through them.

My Interests

The art of conversation. I like to know people's history, their opinions, and discuss life and its significance. Thus, leading me to my other interests in religion, philosophy, politics, and acquisition of knowledge. Life long, continual learning brings me closer to understanding. Understanding allows obviation of falsehoods from truth. Obtaining truth leads to wisdom. Wisdom leads to passion for life. And so, my passion for life comes from the wisdom of having the truth on my heart. The truth is in Jesus.

I'd like to meet:

Random people and get their take on issues. I care more about (dare I say normal) average Joe thinks than George Clooney.
I would also like to meet the following:
1) Dennis Prager
2) President Bush (I'd call him dubya)
3) Dr. Albert Mohler, Jr.
I'll add more to this list when I sit and ponder a bit more.

Music:

Yes, I listen to music. According to my mood, I listen to Derek Webb, Sandra McCracken, Bebo Norman, Dave Brubeck, movie soundtracks (arguably the best modern orchestras), sometimes KLove and Air1.

Movies:

I like documentaries. Being a history buff, I love historical (even if moderately inaccurate)movies. Braveheart, Gladiator, The Patriot, A&E or PBS documentaries, animated films (such as Beauty and the Beast or Lady and the Tramp), among others.

Television:

noun, (tel-e-vi-sion); an electronic display of poorly written satires, morally displaced view of family values, biased press reporting, and Japanese cartoons that deteriorate human brain matter. I watch it for the sports.

Books:

Holy Bible, Our Sacred Honor (William J. Bennett), Think a Second Time and Happiness is a Serious Problem (Dennis Prager), Blog and The Embarrassed Believer (Hugh Hewitt), By This Standard (Greg Bahnsen), anything C.S. Lewis, Case for Christ (Lee Strobel), 1776 (David McCullough), and many more.

Heroes:

Jesus Christ.

Gangsta' Rap is Morally Wrong

Today, in front of my apartment, I observed a young black-american boy (about 7 years old) riding in a Hummer toy car with a cap gun turned sideways. I overheard him saying that he was performing a "d...
