Anyone who's not a worthless asshole.
I listen to pretty much everything, EXCEPT country. Orchestrated movie soundtracks are a staple of my musical diet- LOTR, Star Wars, Gladiator, Troy, Blackhawk Down, the old school (Stu Phillips) Galactica soundtrack is awesome, Rocketeer, Independence Day. Pretty much anything by Williams, Zimmer, or Horner freakin' OWNS. I like specific classic rock bands- Floyd, Zeppelin, Stones, The Who, and CCR. Eric Clapton, B.B. King and Black Crowes are also good. I like some 90's alternative- Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, STP, AIC. I also, for some reason lately, cannot get enough of cheesy "lounge" style covers of rock/alternative songs, by guys like Richard Cheese, Paul Anka, and Pat Boone. Hilarious.
Just about anything Superhero, Sci-Fi or Fantasy, though I will admit 90% of them are crappy. 40 Year Old Virgin is the absolute funniest movie ever. I swear.
Not a lot of TV. The only shows I try to catch are Battlestar Galactica (better every week- this show knows how to build SUSPENSE) and Stargate SG-1. I like Family Guy, Simpsons, and a lot of the stuff on Adult Swim- though I have been noticing their original shows are getting less funny. The Venture Bros is HIGH-LARIOUS! Firefly, though it is not on the air anymore. One of the best sci-fi shows that ever was, if you have a chance- check it out on DVD, it will not disappoint.
I read a lot of film making and animation "technique" books. I am a sucker for movie "making of" books, and the coffee table style movie art books. A really interesting read about the film industry is "Rebel Without a Crew" by Robert Rodriguez.
Mr. T. He destroyed the Periodic Table of Elements because Mr. T. only recognizes the element of surprise.
