Hi there, thanks for checking out my page! My name is Greg James and I'm a Drum Tutor based in the Swansea area. I am also a freelance drummer available for various types of work.
DRUMMING EXPERIENCE
The breadth of my experience includes Theatre Tours, House Band work on Cruise Ships, Hotels, Entertainment Venues, etc. I also have extensive experience at Studio Recordings and gigs from pubs and clubs to private functions.
I have toured with the 'Circus of Horrors' for three seasons, played to 150,000 people alongside The Who, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan and Alanis Morrisette in Hyde Park for the Princes Trust. My drumming exploits have taken me to Australia, the Middle East and round the Caribbean a few times!
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Currently studying to take Grade 8 in Drums, I'm still very much motivated by learning and expanding my musical vocabulary. My teaching method is very much about motivating the student in a structured way. Students learn the techniques to be able to play in their preferred style of music whilst picking up good habits and learning to read drum music along the way.
