.HEREtoday. started as a way to pass the time between classes at Mary Washington College (Fredericksburg, VA) in October of 1999. Nearly eight years later, the guys of .HEREtoday. have decided to move on to new experiences and projects. We have had the most amazing time over the past eight years, and we have had the opportunity to meet so many incredible people. We truly believe that we have had the best fans of any band performing at the regional level. I challenge you to find more dedicated fans than .HEREtoday. has had. We have played with amazing bands, especially Slingshot 57, Hundred Year Storm, Absolute Zero, Midnight Rider, Pash, and so many more.
Throughout the existence of .HEREtoday., we have strived to provide our fans with excellent music containing real-to-life experiences and spiritual truth based on our faith in Jesus. Coupled with an exciting and ever-changing live show, we have seen an incredible amount of change in the people around us, the audience, and most importantly, ourselves. It is change that has brought about the end of .HEREtoday. as a band, but our philosophy toward music and life has been forever impacted by this experience. In some ways, the band will live on with us and some other people forever.
We want to thank you, our fans and second family, for supporting us for so long. We thank you for coming to shows, shaking our hands, making us laugh, giving us food, sending us e-mails and MySpace messages, and just sharing your lives with us. We constantly thank God for allowing us the opportunity to share our lives with you, and we truly hope that you were able to find some light and truth in our music that is not readily available in a lot of the world's media.
We still have merchandise available, particularly t-shirts and CDs. Now is the time to secure a memory. We have "Love is the Answer" light-blue t-shirts and "Start a Fire" black t-shirts in practically any size. We also have copies of our second album, the self-titled ".HEREtoday." This merchandise will be sold at a discounted rate, so if you are interested send us an e-mail:

Below is a little information on what all of .HEREtoday. (past and present) is up to these days:
Chip Holt (Lead Guitar, Vocals): In late June 2007, Chip will be marrying Katie Baird in Fredericksburg, VA. Chip has created a new music project called "HELLO WITH A HAND GRENADE," which can be found on MySpace: www.myspace.com/chipholtband. Chip has enlisted Matt, John, and Bryan for further instrumentation on the HELLO WITH A HAND GRENADE project.
Matt Murphy (Bass): In October of 2007, Matt and his wife Becky will be having their first child, a girl named Ariella Hope Murphy. Matt has taken a position as Ministry Resident at Common Ground Christian Church and plays bass and writes for HELLO WITH A HAND GRENADE. Matt is also working on another music project called "THE HONEST."
John Daubert (Guitar, Keys, Vocals): John is currently the Young Life leader for Stafford High School, which is just north of Fredericksburg. He is also the worship leader at New Life Community Church, which is in Stafford, VA. John will soon be contributing his musical talent to HELLO WITH A HAND GRENADE.
Ed Dickerson (Violin, Guitar, Vocals): Ed is a musician. It's what he does pretty much any time he's not doing work for the landscaping company he started with his friend Keo: Good to Go Grass and Mo'. Ed is currently playing with Fredericksburg's newest funk-rock phenomenon, Junk Science ( www.myspace.com/junkscienceband).
Jon Bibb (Drums): Jon has just finished a tour with his band, Pash (www.myspace.com/pashva ), an Indie-rock must see from the Capital Area. Jon's also been playing drums at Common Ground Christian Church and pretty much anywhere else he can get his hands on something with a good tone, actual drum or not.
Bryan Holt (Former Drummer/Vocalist): Bryan has launched a new church (Christ Covenant just outside Fredericksburg, VA), at which he leads worship as a guitarist and vocalist. He has been passing his drum knowledge on to eager youths and turned his worship team into what he calls a "Power Trio." Bryan will be playing with HELLO WITH A HAND GRENADE occasionally in the future. His free time is spent with his wife, Rebekah, and kids, Micah, Nathan, and Chloe.
Mark Kazmier (Former Guitarist/Vocalist): Mark and his wife, Elena, have nearly completed a year in the mission field working in Sarajevo, Bosnia. They will be returning to the Fredericksburg area and working with their church, Grace Church, in a discipleship program.
David Holt (Sound Engineer, Jokester): In July 2007, David will be heading off to Sound Engineering School at Omega Recording Studios in Rockville, MD. We've always known David is a prodigy behind the sound board, and now he's going to back that skill with a degree. He'll also be learning the studio engineering side he hasn't had much opportunity to experience yet. Also, David engineers at Common Ground Christian Church on Sunday Mornings.
