Forever thankful to all who have helped Constituents
grow over the last few years. I know there is still so
much to do, to get things to where they should be.
Remember the choices we make as individuals, collectively
determines what direction we are heading in. Music is for
the people, Progressive Hip-Hop is merely a concept that
could serve as an alternate direction where we can take the
music to, to bring about a more positive outlook on the culture
as a whole. Realize as a consumer and a listener WE are
actually the ones in control of the future of Hip-Hop, or music
in general. Our choices. Dont let them fool you, and get you
all hyped up about a movement thats not really moving
anywhere. The Civil Rights Movement ....now that was a
movement. Some of these catz are all talking about a
movement , but they stay doing the same thing, all over
talking about the same things in their music as always, doing
little if anything at all to elevate our culture. Those out there
who really pushing things for the better, you already know
who you are.
The main Constituents objective is to
create a universal connection with people that are
exposed to the music. Some people say they are
looking for things to change, or "Hip-Hop is Dead."
I say let all the negativity die with it....surge forward
to a new era where our art can represent the truth,
or not be based in a reality where sex, drugs, money and
gunz are the primary focus in our lives.
"Whats Really Good Fam?!" How will we ever answer
this question for ourselves...and our children at the rate
we are going? I will continue to walk the path less traveled
by most in the industry today, so that all the true soldiers
of hip-hop, and all those trying to sustain the future of our
art-form have a home. Salute to those who invent rather
than capitalize on existing formulas. Dedicated to
those that have struggled, and overcome adversity in the past.........present .......... future......In my life I have learned a "Battle" only matters as much
as what you are fighting for.
