The Crawling Kingsnakes are Toronto’s most exciting rock & roll band. Since February 2003, the band has played over thirty shows, at most of the higher-end venues in downtown Toronto. Still, we've found time to write and record enough to put out two full-length albums - our new album Shed Your Skin is slated for official release in early 2006, but you can check out some tracks above and even buy it online (for only 15$).
The band consists largely of two sets of brothers. Michael and Christian Bonner, who originally started the band, wield the guitars. Bobby and Jesse Parker, the other set of brothers, handle drums and singing respectively. Mutual friend Christopher Belanger was brought on board to round it out with the bass, and the result is a ball-busting rock & roll combo.
What sets us apart from our contemporaries is our commitment to the blues. The blues is really the foundation upon which the last century of popular music has been built. To quote Muddy Waters, "The blues had a baby, and they named it rock and roll." As far as we're concerned, when you forget that - well, your music sucks.
