About Me

Hello fellow dark angels! I am the dark Angel of Goths, I live in dark haunted graveyards around the world and feed off doom and blood - OK enough of the crap I'm really just an old and slightly mad goth who never got it out of her system!!When I say 'old' I mean I was around the first time around and according to some that makes me 'vintage' or 'trad'! In my younger days I never went out without spending about 2 hours on my hair and make up and had used up a whole can of hairspray! Even today I always only wear black, I never quite got the hang of colours, and my favourite make up item is still my black eyeliner! I'm originally from Denmark but grew up in England so I feel a bit bi-national if there's such a thing!! I love Denmark and miss it badly but when I'm there I miss England so I'm never satisfied! I used to work as a stewardess on a Danish passenger ship (DFDS) which was great as I had the best of both worlds - great lifestyle loads of cheap booze and cigarettes!I still love going to gigs, we went to the final Mission gig at Shepherds Bush this year and it was amazing. We also went to Berlin to see 69 Eyes last year and ended up at the afterparty at Wild At Heart, what a great night!

My Interests

I love dance especially classical ballet and still enjoy the odd dance lesson when I can and I love playing Badminton - I'm still only a beginner but it's the most fun way of exercising there is (well, almost!).I also have a big interest in Autism as my two sons both have autism. I feel very passionately that there should be more research into the causes of autism and also into the educational needs of children with autism.

I'd like to meet:

Oh god, where do I begin? Well, of course there's Wayne Hussey that goes without saying, he's an absolute genious!!I've also got a huge respect for John Lydon, he's funny, intelligent and contrary to what some people might say, a very talented musician.One of my all time idols is Frida (Anni-frid Lyngstad from ABBA) - she's been a huge inspiration to me during my life and has been through more in life than most people can ever imagine. I would love to meet her.I would also have loved to have met Rudolph Nureyev.

Music:

Goth, goth, metal and goth with a bit of punk chucked in for good measure. My favourite bands are The Mission, Funhouse, 69 Eyes, Nightwish - the list is extensive!

Movies:

I'm not a big film buff but I do love a good spooky film like The Others. My favourite film is still The Hunger with Catherine Deneuve, Susan Saradon, David Bowie and music by Bauhaus. I also love a good comedy, my favourite being Some Like It Hot.

Television:

I'm really sad I'm afraid - I LOVE STAR TREK!! Yeah ok I know that's not cool but I'm definately a bit of a trekkie! I love Voyager and Next Generation but I'm not so keen on the others. I also love Lost and Desperate Housewives and I do like to tune in to Big Brother when it's on (but I won't admit that in public!)

Books:

These days I like to read for pleasure. I've done the Proust bit etc and my favourite classic is Tess of the D'Urbervilles. I enjoyed reading the Lord of the Rings books and was glad I'd read the books before seeing the films. Right now though I'm reading the Nightwish biography Once Upon a Nightwish and also recently read the Mission biography Names Are for Tombstones Baby!

Heroes:

Same as the ones I'd like to meet. Wayne Hussey, Frida, John Lydon, Rudolph Nureyev. Actually, I'd also like to meet the guy who created In The Night Garden - I'd shake his hand and thank him for keeping my kids so occupied!!
