Oh, bloody hell. I'm still a big geek at heart, I suppose. The usual stuff: reading (mostly sci-fi or history), writing (the same), spending time with my better half, photography, both film and digital . I like to travel when I get the chance, and I do a bit of bicycling every now and then.
My Gallery of photography, both good and bad.
People.
I have one of the most eclectic playlists of anyone I know; my iTunes on shuffle is an enlightening experience. In the past 20 minutes, I've listened to French-Canadian folk music, James Taylor, Guster, 311, Good Charlotte, Quiet Riot, Huey Lewis and the News, The Offspring and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
That about sums it up.
Hm. My top 5: The Hunt for Red October, The Shipping News, Office Space (hey, jobs like that are what put me through college), Fargo and Pulp Fiction. In no particular order.
Law and Order, M*A*S*H, and Star Trek.
Oh, and when I'm in the mood for a chuckle, Fox News.
You'd think I could have a field day with this one. Again, in no particular order: "Dune", by Frank Herbert; "Nineteen-eighty-four", by George Orwell; "Reading the Bible Again for the First Time", by Marcus Borg; "The Jungle", by Upton Sinclair; "Empire", by Niall Ferguson; "A People's History of the United States", by Howard Zinn; "The Camera", "The Negative", and "The Print", by Ansel Adams; "All Quiet on the Western Front", by Erich Remarque; "The Grapes of Wrath", by John Steinbeck; "The Histories", by Herodotus; and finally, "Fahrenheit 451", by Ray Bradbury.
I'm sure there are others.
