Looking to give metal heads a reason to bang their heads even harder, the seeds of Spiritual Black were sown back in 2005 with a simple jam between drummer Curt McCarthy and lead guitarist/vocalist Victor Laureano. The two ended up being wrapped up in local act Desdinova for the next two years until it's disbandment in spring of 2007. Since then it's been nothing but a full throttle push forward to bring a new form of louder, heavier, and more melodic metal to the local scene and, hopefully, the world.
In early 2007, keyboardist Danny Maravillas joined the band and with his arrival came an all new level to Spiritual Black's music. The end result is songs overflowing with guitar and keyboard leads, complete and total shred offs, and harsh, heavy fuckin vocals backed by relentless guitar riffs, overpowering drum beats, thunderous bass lines, and haunting keyboard atmospheres.
Recently the band has lost Gus Currea, former rhythm guitarist/vocalist for the band as well as temp bass player Jimi Currea. While the rest of the boys hate to see them go, they wish them luck on future endeavors but turn back to the road ahead with a new grit and determination. Finding official members for those spots is merely another challenge that Spiritual Black will meet, destroy, and leave behind.
With their eyes set on finalizing the band, these three metal bastards look to keep improving their musical talents and writing always improving music that will always stay true to the heavy metal way, all the while tearin the shit out of any stage they step foot onto and giving metal heads everywhere a reason to headbang till they bleed and beat the shit out anything in their way!
We're back kids, and this time it's for fuckin' good...
