About Me
**Disclaimer: This page is maintained by friends of Napoleon Jenkins and not by the candidate.**Napoleon "Chopper" Jenkins was born September 29, 1975, in what was then Dublin Hospital in Dublin, GA. His family has been in Washington County, GA and the surrounding area for several generations dating well into the 1800’s. Despite having to travel due to employment opportunities and furthering his education, Napoleon has spent his entire life as a permanent resident of Tennille, GA, where he has always been an active member of the community. He is a member of the New Tennille AME Church (Formally St. James AME Church). A graduate of Washington County High School near the top of his class, Napoleon served as President of his class and State President of VOCA. He participated in many clubs, activities, and sports, including varsity football, baseball and track.
In 1993, Napoleon Jenkins, received Senator Sam Nunn’s principle appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point where he studied Systems Engineering. Also while a cadet at West Point, Napoleon served on the Army Football team and the Cadet Public Relations Counsel.
In 2000, Napoleon became the only Product and Sales manager for Hummer in the state of Georgia, and was the youngest person in North America to hold that position at that time. Since 2004, he has worked as Director of Sales, Southeast United States for I.R.I.S. Technologies, LLC, which is a contractor for the United States Department of Defense and provides them with environmentally-friendly, heat-reflective coatings.
Napoleon seeks the office of State Senator as an effort to make this seat more responsive to the needs of our citizens. He wants to use its capacity to assist in promoting agriculture, business development, and increase employment opportunities. Napoleon understands that these are the issues of greatest concern to the voters in the district. Napoleon also wants to help champion new projected state and federal highway projects currently in development. He firmly believes these efforts, along with the further promotion of education standards, should assist the continuing growth of our district into the 21st century.
The issues in the forefront of his campaign are promoting the economy to entice job growth and fighting against the outsourcing of our jobs. Education, Healthcare, Moral Values, Illegal Immigration and Property Taxes are many of the other issues he will address in great detail throughout this election year. Napoleon Jenkins believes excessive spending on unnecessary pork projects is a waste of our precious tax resources and should not be condoned on either the national or the state level. Funding on projects that entice job growth and stimulate the local economies, however, is a necessity. Once he is elected to the Georgia Senate, he will vote in accordance to these principles and will ensure that your tax dollars are spent efficiently and on worthy causes that will make our district and state more attractive to business interests.**Disclaimer: This page is maintained by friends of Napoleon Jenkins and not by the candidate.**
