Welcome aboard,
My name is Shawna Lee and I will be your Commander as you journey into the realm of my imagination and transcend deep within the cosmos! I'm a poet/author trying to find my 'break' in the literary community. I've been writing for the last 3 years leading into my first book debut, "A Salute To Space Explorers." I became extremely inspired through the Space Shuttle Columbia crew who perished during re-entry on February 1, 2003 that it gave me the motivation to write about spirituality, reaching for your dreams, heroes/heroism, and peace on earth. I've always been interested in creative writing while growing up, but the Columbia tragedy really ignited that fire in me to write more seriously. I'm currently in the process of writing my second book, "Bravery Prevails" which is tentatively scheduled for a spring 2009 release.
With the release of my debut book, "A Salute To Space Explorers," my initiative is to target the hearts of children or pre-teens in hopes of helping them to understand that life is precious and they are capable of being the best they can be. My second release, "Bravery Prevails," will unleash the same momentum, but will be more of a spiritual guide.
As I walk through this beautiful "breath of life" that was given to me, I hunger to share my passions. It showers me with much enjoyment. I grant you the same enjoyment in reading what I have to offer!
