Cancer WARRIOR!!!!!!

About Me

I'm very eccentric and eclectic; extremely well world traveled, intelligent, closet lamp work(glass beads)glass fusing/slumping, glass fusing jewelry, stained glass, mosaics, oil, water color and pastel artist; Oregon wine collector, gastronomy, photographer, balcony container gardener; herbs, vegetables, orchids, begonias, peonies and gardenias. I have been playing classical, show tunes, Celtic harp for nearly five years. I have found that harp is very surreal and almost fairy like. I now want to learn to play cello, because it is haunting, soul searching and literally gets into the deepest cresses of your mind. I am a recluse. A very proud mom of two beautiful grown daughters, one handsome grown son, an adopted ten year old daughter; and so far, have five amazing grandsons by my daughters. My son hasn't started a family yet. Hopefully, he will have daughters! I'm retired now and not by choice, but due to health issues. I've experience life to the fullest and I am very hard to be fooled. I can read people very well. I live with my man friend, his ten year old daughter (whom I have adopted) his eighty-two year old father and our year and a half old female Boston Terrier name Tootsie. Tootsie has a fetish with stealing underwear from the laundry hamper and wearing them. Currently, I am writing a heirloom cookbook to pass down to my family. My wish is to have it completed within a year. My wish in life is to live in Italy as a home base and live the remaining days of my life traveling through Europe.

My Interests

I love theology, music and history. I am a closet artist and have been working with fusing/slumping, lampwork (glass bead making) and blowing hot glass for the past year. My passion is cooking and currently writing a heirloom cookbook to pass down to my family.

I'd like to meet:

Lewis Black, Jeff Dunham with his puppet crew; Robin Williams and Billy Crystal . It would be fantastic to have them as dinner guests. Life satire at it's best.

Music:

My love of music was influence by my cousin Al Schmitt. When I used to stay when I was in my early teens at my cousin's Joan and Al's house, his office was filled with albums, which wrapped around all four walls; two feet deep and the center of the room was his black grand piano. I used to read every single album. I remembered when Al gave me two Jefferson Airplane albums freshly pressed and not even released yet. There were Crown of Creation and Volunteers. Since then, I have immersed myself in music. My favorite music consists of: Classical, jazz, rock from the '60's to '90s, zydeco, new age, Hawaiiana, Native American and world music. Favorite rock bands: Jefferson Airplane, Led Zeppelin, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Neal Young and Crazy Horse, Steely Dan, Journey, Van Haylen, Beatles and Rolling Stones. Battle of Evermore from Led Zeppelin IV is an amazing song. Heart did a terrific haunting rendition of it too.

Movies:

Jeff Durham DVD's especially, Arguing with Myself; Robin William's Live in Concert and Romantic comedies

Books:

Heroes:

Al Schmitt, recording engineer and producer; my cousin whom I greatly respect and admire.
