About Me

Playing with the likes of Econoline Crush and other Canadian greats, Real Life Hero was a promising rock band out of Bellingham, WA that decided to close up shop in late 2003. They enjoyed success north of the border as well as down to Seattle and abroad. The band was born in early 1999 by high school friends singer/guitarist Dennis Zender, bassist Brent Moldenhauer and drummer Josiah Cox. The 3 piece independently released three records in that five year span, Basement Hero's circa. 1999 Are You A Fan circa. 2001 and their final record the interestingly titled Greatest Hits So Far.. circa. 2003..
After expanding to a quartet in 2002 with the addition of lead guitarist Dan Newell the group flirted with the oppurtunity to graduate from the confines of Western Washington, after never realizing this goal Newell left the band and fater a short stint as the original three the group disbanded in late 2003 when lead singer Dennis Zender left the band to form the now successful pop-rock band Truce out of Seattle. Cox and Moldenhauer are now involved in low-key musical projects in Bellingham while Newell has focused on other passions in his life. This myspace is a dedication to the band and re-introduces their music to an array of new fans that may have never heard them.
