I am here for Friends

About Me

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies with in us". -Emerson

My best advise: Take every day and enjoying it to it's fullest. You'll never get it back. Truly live instead of just dreaming about it or putting it on hold. Do something that scares you a little bit every day and you will become stronger then before. Love unconditionally and embrace your life. It is yours. Own it. Laugh, it is good for the soul and brightens up other's moods. Let go of worry, bitterness, and hate. It only takes you to the grave faster. Inspire and support others, your smile or help may just save them. Oh yeah... don't forget the sunscreen.

"Friends are angels who lift our feet when our own wings have trouble remembering how to fly"

"There is no distance too far between best friends, for friendship gives wings to the heart."

My Interests

Scubadiving, traveling all over the world, painting, dancing, doing anything outdoors, and experiencing life to it's fullest.

I love trying new things. Who says you have to grow up? I say just grow to be a better you!

We love visiting friend new and old!
Meet the twins! Houston and Isa!
Thanks for the photo, Rita!!

I'd like to meet:

New friends who share my interests. Not looking for romance. I already have it!

You Have a Choleric Temperament
You are a person of great enthusiasm - easily excited by many things.
Unsatisfied by the ordinary, you are reaching for an epic, extraordinary life.
You want the best. The best life. The best love. The best reputation.

You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon.
Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall.
You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others.

At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults.
Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion.
A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior. What Temperment Are You?

Music:

I enjoy all kinds of music from all around the world.

Movies:

Anything that holds my suspension of disbelief like "The Matrix". I also enjoy the stupid funny ones for sheer entertainment (too many to name). You can never go wrong with "Star Wars" and other classics like "The Godfather". Of course the estrogen side of me loves "The Notebook" and "Under the Tuscan Sun".

Television:

I love series like LOST, Heroes, Dead Like Me, Grey's Anatomy, Will and Grace, Scrubs, Medium, and House.

Books:

The books I am interested in are similar to meditation, chakras, and the beauty of nature. I would suggest "Embraced by the Light" by Betty Eadie, "Anatomy of the Spirit" by Dr. Caroline Myss, and "Memories, Dreams, Reflections" by C.G. Jung

Heroes:

My Heros are of course my parents, and anyone who stands up for equality and a better world- even when society can be against them. I honor anyone who tries to educate the ignorant and the closed minded. Life is too short to be hateful, selfish, or prejudice. There is only one world, and we must live in it together. Get over your idio-sycrencies and look at the big picture.

My fate with Lasek (PRK)

Sitting here I am contemplating on how to describe my lasek experience.  I am reminded of my golden high school theatre days when my classmates would take turns to poke fun at my extremely LONG s...

My version of "Hostel meets The Dentist"

Ok, so I understand that Dutch people are not so keen on taking medicine.  They live healthier lives and want to build up their immune systems naturally.  Good for them.  However, when ...

Can you imagine?

"A man is not fully at peace until his bones are at rest and all is right within his world." I came to this conclusion while taking some time for myself in Spain last week.  The sun beamed like o...

Celebration of life and the loss of a loved one

He really started living in his 70's.  He transformed from a serious man to a jokester who could keep you laughing until your sides ached.  I believe his son brought the best out of him in t...
