About Me

This is the first ever appearance by legendary musician Jandek in Colorado (or, for that matter, any bordering state of Colorado). Obviously, it's a special occasion. If you don't know who Jandek is, you might start by visiting Seth Tisue's awesome online site, http://tisue.net/jandek and listening to the NPR article at http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=1677858 7.If you're ready to look into tickets, head to www.ticketalternative.com starting May 5th. Truly a unique experience.Wonder what you might be getting into? Here's a clip from his first ever show in Glasgow, Scotland in October of 2004. If you like it, you can order the complete concert on CD or DVD under the title "Glasgow Sunday." For information on it or any other Jandek releases, write Corwood Industries, PO Box 15375, Houston, TX 77220. Keep in mind, of course, that all Jandek shows are a little different. Will we get an avant-blues punk show? An acoustic set? A piano led neo-classical performance? How about skewed country or warped jazz? All of these have happened before, and at this point any could happen here. Hard to say for now, but here's an idea of what the first-ever Jandek live audience got to see:

About the show...From the top, please

This is one of those moments you want to savor. Almost a year ago, I moved to Colorado from the sweltery state of Arkansas, and almost immediately decided to host a Jandek concert. My original thought...
